The Chessboard of Life
By Tom Green

The chessboard of life is cunningly complex.
For many, the initial foray shows a lack of direction.
While some develop a centered approach,
others approach from the wings.

Is there a plan? or, do you jump from one crisis to the next?
Sometimes we find ourselves pinned down by the choices we've made.
At other times we find ourselves assailed from two directions at once,
unable to answer such threats.

What do you value?
Mid-life offers an opportunity to re-evaluate direction.
Material wealth is meaningless if we forget our purpose.

With the right moves, there are no winners or losers.
In the end, the lowliest among us is capable of a complete transformation.
Truly, it is up to you how you live your life.
