        Welcome to the official webpage for the George W. Burns Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) lab here at Ohio Wesleyan University.  Incorporated into this site is information about the lab, in both its creation and current use, as well as a image database containing all images ever published by the lab.  You'll also find some cool links to other sites featuring useful information.

Above is a set of three images that have been colorized.  The top image is of magma/rock interactions studied by Dr. Bart Martin.  The second image is of a pollen grain done by Mike Nelson, Senior microbiology major and current lab liaison.  The third image is of snow flakes done using the cryo-freezing system available.
