PROGRAM MISSION:

To encourage our team members to lead well-rounded lives and to fully develop their academic, cultural, creative, spiritual and athletic abilities. Our primary goal is to help each individual become the best athlete he or she can be.  We also recognize that each person’s definition of success is different and of equal value, whether it’s to set personal records or to just master all our strokes.  Nevertheless, this is a serious program that looks to instill confidence in each and every member so they can be successful in any endeavor of their choosing.

PROGRAM GOALS:

Our primary goal is to provide instruction in all strokes, starts and turns and specifically work on technique to improve stroke efficiency.  Once correct swimming technique is in place and strokes have been mastered, training can benefit the athlete on a much higher level.  Our secondary goal is to give these young athletes the tools and training that will benefit them.  Not just pound yardage but teach them about; how to swim events, their nutrition, resistance training and the benefit of cross training . Our third goal is to create a feeder program for the high schools and colleges and be a club for these athletes to continue their athletic endeavors, be it running, cycling, triathlons or swimming.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY:

Our philosophy follows along the program goals, we teach first, and train second.  There must be some skill level from which to train in order for the benefits to be seen.  You can get a better understanding of our philosophy by downloading the  "phases of athlete development".
