Odds and Ends
It has been a rough time to be a Wolverine. I was on a study tour of Mexico recently with 11 other people, 8 of whom had an OSU connection. Ouch! As you may know, the big thing at OSU right now is having people travel to different places and spell out O-H-I-O. Our groups had some rabid OSU fans. Some of us climbed to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun in Teohtihuacan. When we got there, there were four of us and the official OSU photographer. They asked if I would help them out and spell O-H-I-O. I volunteered to help and am the guy in the red Ohio WESLEYAN shirt along with an OSU employee, grad student and an alum. If you carefully check their spelling, you can see why this trip brought a bit of a smile to my lips. I imagine it won't be on the OSU website. O-I-H-O I am a loyal Detroit Tiger fan. Here is a photo at Comerica the night they won the pennant. In the foreground are my daughter-in-law, Marie Mapes, son Seth Gitter and a very happy Tiger fan. pennant night-2006
