Confiscated...for the First Time: ONLINE

Rick Durham -- President/Chief Editor

About to graduate with a degree in English, but only because
there was no Adventure major. Minor in History. Rick has been
working on Confiscated since the first issue in 2006. He lives
under the delusion that he will be a writer someday. Rick was
able to use his experience with the Magazine to weasel his way
to the top, becoming the Chair of the Ohio Wesleyan English
Department Student Board, and is currently the Poetry Editor
for the Ohio Wesleyan Literary Journal (OWL). Rick enjoys Scope
mouthwash and long, windy, cold and brisk walks through the
torrid Ohio weather. Rick is also fond of a kitty he wishes to
adopt by the name of Jon Voight-Cat, but cannot afford that
kitty's partner-in-crime, Dustin Hoff-Cat.

Becky Brinkman -- Secretary/Editor

Becky "BRoinkman" Brinkman is a double-major (that's zoology and creative writing) at Ohio Wesleyan, fated to graduate in the year of our Lord 2011. When to much work piles up from these majors she can be found shuffling from class to her home - the House of Thought, writing something boring, reading something old, or grumbling to herself.

She has a tattoo, which makes her more hard core than yourself, no matter how many you may or may not have. Her handwriting is impeccable and her vocabulary and grammar are both getting there.

Seriously though? She's a romanic that believes in magical things. She's going to marry a cowboy. She's becoming what she wants to be when she grows up.

Dislikes include merging without turn signals, disregard for arriving on time, superfluous "like"s, and most of all mispronouncing the word "zoology," which is correctly pronounced "zoh-AWL-uh-gee," and if it WEREN'T it would be spelled with 3 "o"s and would be the study of zoos, not animals.

Aside from being a scintilating submitter/editor of Confiscated, she is a Babbling Bishop (improver), a lover, an artist, a scientist, an occasional spaz, and a collector of words. What's your favorite word?

Zeal Jagannatha -- Editor

I'm in the band, I play trombone,
Though I can craft a witty poem when in the zone.
I'm good with computers, amd might major there.
The only thing that rhymes is an Alaskan brown bear.
I like to read, McEwan's the best,
But I might sit down to Fielding with zest.
I like to make music, especially Jazz,
Though I'd not play a gig on the isle of Alcatraz.
There are many things that could be much worse,
And by that fact, I'll retire my verse.

Brian Kaiser -- Editor

I'm from Cleveland and I'm a chemistry major and possibly a Spanish double major. My favorite band is The Red Hot Chili Peppers. I play bass guitar and like to skateboard. My favorite literature is from the dark romantics. I think the shamwow commercials are so poorly done that it just makes me laugh.

David Ordosch -- Editor

David Ordosch joined the Confiscated staff by accident during the spring semester of his freshman year. He found it quite enjoyable though, and intends to stick around. He is majoring in zoology and someday hopes to touch your spiders. When he is not studying at OWU, he lives somewhere in northern Ohio in a house his parents bought in the 80s with hairspray and shoulder pads. His interests include admiring the "CANCEL" button on his toaster and writing autobiographical blurbs to Lee Seigel. He also enjoys Arnold Swarzenegger movies and music. He used to be an avid saxophone player but has since stopped. He once sold his soul to the devil so he could beat Elvis at a saxophone solo contest. This was an unfortunate move, because that fat old man couldn't toot a single note out of one of those things.
