Summer Conference Mission Statement
The Ohio Wesleyan University Summer Conference Program is designed to provide safe, economical, and comfortable short term housing services for our guests in an atmosphere of quality customer service. We will act as a resource to promote Ohio Wesleyan University and the Delaware community in an effort to foster a positive experience for both guests and staff.
Hamilton-Williams Campus Center

The Hamilton-Williams Campus Center is a two-level building with a five-level tower at its east end. Within the tower, a four-story atrium surrounds an open light-well rising to a dramatic sky light. At the west end of the building, the Benes Special Events Room can accommodate 500 people for dinner and larger groups for lectures; or can be subdivided into three smaller meeting rooms. In addition, the Hamilton-Williams Campus Center provides large and small meeting places, a variety of conference rooms, multiple dining areas, and many informal gathering spaces. The Campus Center meets ADA requirements for accessibility. Parking is available behind the building free of charge.

University Hall

University Hall is a 100+ year-old, massive stone edifice, with its soaring bell tower and peaked roof. It includes a variety of administrative offices, including that of the President. It is perhaps best known as the site of Gray Chapel. Gray Chapel, which seats 1,100 people, is among the nation’s preeminent concert halls, annually attracting noted performers. Also included in Gray is the magnificent Klais concert organ – one of only three such instruments in the United States.

Chappelear Drama Center

Chappelear Drama Center is the home for the Theatre and Dance department. The center offers flexible seating in its main auditorium which seats 450, and the studio theatre, which seats 125. Rehearsal spaces are also available.

Classrooms are available in Phillips Hall, Bigelow-Rice Hall, Stewart Hall, Elliott Hall, Sturges Hall, and Edgar Hall. Accommodations range from seminar rooms for 10 to 20 people to classrooms accommodating more than 100 people.

From June to August, Ohio Wesleyan University opens its residence halls to conference visitors. Accommodations are available in Smith Hall, Welch Hall, Hayes Hall, Stuyvesant Hall, and Thomson Hall. All dormitories are locked twenty-four hours per day. Access to each dorm is gained by swiping a conference card that is provided to each person in a group. Parking is available at each residence hall at no charge.

Smith Hall is an air-conditioned dorm. Each suite sleeps four and includes a private bath and study room. Total capacity is 373. Smith Hall offers a large rec room with pool tables, ping-pong table, and TV lounge. Included among the building’s facilities are study rooms on each floor, meeting rooms, and a computer lab with Internet access. There are also vending machines, and two coin operated laundry rooms. The dining hall is located on the first floor of this hall.

Welch Hall

Welch Hall has been designed and renovated in extra ways to integrate living and learning experiences. Total capacity is 198. Each suite sleeps four and includes a private bath and study room. Facilities include a computer lab with Internet access, a darkroom, a full kitchen, many meeting rooms, and a weight room. Welch Hall also offers a rec room with pool table, ping-pong table, and TV lounge. Vending machines and a coin operated laundry are available.

Hayes Hall

Hayes Hall, completed in 1963, houses 194 people. Each suite sleeps four and includes a private bath and study room. Facilities include a computer lab with Internet access, and study rooms on each floor. Hayes Hall offers a rec room with vending machines. A TV lounge and coin operated laundry room are also available.

Stuyvesant Hall

Stuy Hall was completed in 1968 and houses 279 people. Each suite sleeps four and includes a private bath. Facilities include a computer lab with Internet access, study rooms on each floor, a multipurpose room with a stage, pool tables, ping-pong table, and foosball. A TV lounge, coin operated laundry room, and vending machines are also available.

Thompson Hall

Thomson Hall was completed in 1954 and houses 122 people. Twin rooms are available with shared washroom and shower facilities. Thomson Hall offers a pool table, foosball, a TV lounge, coin operated laundry room, and vending machines.
