Dear Brothers:

 

Epsilon Chapter continues to flourish at Ohio Wesleyan University . Our Epsilon brothers, have become the standard for excellence in Scholarship , Community Service , Brotherhood and are truly the Gentlemen and Leaders on campus . I am proud to report; the Epsilon Chapter was presented the coveted Grand Senior President's Award in 2004*. This national honor is given to recognize the outstanding chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity for the previous two years. In addition to applying for this prestigious award once again in 2006, Epsilon Chapter has been nominated by the National Fraternity for the NIC Fraternity Award of Distinction.

 

The award recognizes the chapter that: cares about the greater good...is motivated by the success of others...identifies the needs of the community and works to meet those needs... lives the ritual of the fraternity, at all times... holds others accountable to the standards of the group...has excellence in scholarship... provides ethical leadership for the community...values service to and for others... represents the diversity of their campus...stands firm in the face of adversity... provides assistance to others, before being asked...is cutting edge and different from the rest... carries the flag of interfraternal spirit. The award recognizes the best chapter in the nation and is the highest honor a fraternity can receive; Epsilon is the exemplification of this award.

 

Recruitment of quality young men continues to be a top priority. Programming has been developed in coordination with the housing corporation and local alumni volunteers for creative methods to further excel in leadership development as well as membership recruitment training. As an example, Phired-Up Productions led dynamic workshops for the Prudential Committee as well as the entire undergraduate chapter focusing on vision, team-building, leadership, recruitment, and achieving goals. Continued guidance will be provided over the summer as well as additional workshops throughout the upcoming year.

 

Over the last two summers, significant house improvements were completed and more are planned; stop by and see the progress we have made. Great things are indeed happening at our beloved Epsilon Chapter. We have grand plans for the future, but we need you to join us in our successes! We want you to share in the excitement of the 15 th Sig Bust since the return of Epsilon in 1993 and the 6 th year in our new home on the hill.

 

Please join in the celebration at Sig Bust in October and enjoy Homecoming Weekend. Rekindle some of those great memories and renew the light of brotherhood. See for yourself why Epsilon is the number one fraternity on Ohio Wesleyan's campus!
